Diyo is the DIO-inspired moveset currently documented for Anime Ability Arena. A detailed September 5 gameplay report lists a 55,000 Yen purchase in the lobby and a compact kit built around Punch, Dash, Stand Barrage, and Road Roller. Those names and the purchase flow are Community reported; check the live character panel before grinding to an exact price.
The kit’s practical identity is close pressure. Stand Barrage applies repeated hits at short range, while Road Roller delivers a heavier area impact. Diyo has no documented long-range answer, so success depends on preserving movement, choosing a target you can actually reach, and fighting where a missed approach does not send you into the water.
How to unlock and equip Diyo
Earn Yen through normal arena combat, then return to the lobby and open the character list. Find Diyo, read the price shown in your session, and confirm the purchase only if the panel still identifies Yen as the required currency. The published 55,000 figure is useful for planning, but a current interface should always win a disagreement.
After purchase, select or equip Diyo from the same character panel. If the game asks you to respawn, do so before deciding that the unlock failed. A successful spawn should show Punch, Dash, Stand Barrage, and Road Roller on the ability HUD. If the last two names belong to another kit, Diyo is owned but not active.
Do not confuse Diyo with a Robux-only listing. The detailed gameplay report describes Diyo as a Yen purchase, while premium entries such as Ultra Instinct or Sorcerer have been presented separately. Currency labels can change, so inspect both the icon and the confirmation dialog rather than relying on the character’s position in the list.
Diyo moves and inputs
The controller letters come from one captured layout and should not be blindly converted between Xbox and PlayStation. Read the symbols on your own HUD. Mobile and tablet players should use the labeled on-screen buttons; the move’s tactical job stays the same even when the physical input differs.
A reliable Diyo fight plan
Start outside the center pile and identify one opponent whose attention is already committed. Walk into Punch range when possible. If you must use Dash to enter, angle toward safe ground and confirm that another player is not waiting behind the target. Spending Q directly toward the shoreline removes your easiest correction.
Use Punch to check whether the target will stand, retreat, or counter. Stand Barrage becomes safer after a basic hit connects or when the opponent is recovering from another attack. Stay close enough for the repeated hits, but do not keep walking forward without watching the edge and the third-party players around you.
Save Road Roller for a visible opening. A heavy area impact is valuable when several players occupy the same space, but it can also attract everyone nearby. After it resolves, move sideways or Dash out instead of restarting the exact same sequence in place. Diyo earns value by repeating short pressure windows, not by locking itself into one endless exchange.
On stairs or a narrow approach, the opponent has less room to drift out of the barrage. That can help Diyo, but elevation may also change hit contact. Test where Stand Barrage begins connecting on the current map; do not assume every visual hit is registered.
Positioning and edge safety
The reported arena is a mountainous island with grass, sand, stairs, raised areas, and open water. Before committing, rotate the camera until you can see ground behind your avatar. If the target is between you and the center, forward pressure is relatively safe. If the target is between you and the water, one overextended dash can eliminate you instead.
Crowded fights are tempting because Stand Barrage can contact more than one nearby opponent. Enter from the side, not through the middle. Keep the camera wide enough to see players approaching the barrage animation, and leave immediately when a second heavy effect begins. Repeated hits can help Yen progression, but surviving long enough to find the next target matters more than squeezing out one extra animation.
Against a player who keeps backing away, stop the chase before reaching the edge. Diyo’s public kit description has no ranged threat, so a patient opponent can make you waste Dash. Turn toward a closer fight or reset to central terrain rather than following one target around the island.
Common Diyo problems
If Diyo was purchased but the old moveset remains, reopen the character panel, select Diyo, and respawn. Look for the four exact HUD names rather than relying on the avatar alone. A purchase-success message and an equip-success state are not necessarily the same thing.
If Stand Barrage keeps missing, begin closer and use Punch as a range check. Do not activate it while the target is already moving directly away unless Dash remains available. If Road Roller misses, wait for a landing, another player’s long animation, or a confined space instead of throwing it from neutral.
If you fall off the map during pressure, change the approach angle. Fight with the center behind the opponent, stop holding forward during the barrage, and keep Q unused until you know which direction is safe. The arena map guide explains a landmark-based position check.
If 55,000 Yen is not the displayed price, trust the live panel. Record the current amount and date before sharing it. The official description promises more characters and updates, so late-roster costs are especially likely to move.
Is Diyo worth the Yen?
Diyo is a sensible goal for a player who likes direct close-range pressure and can manage movement without a ranged fallback. Stand Barrage offers a clear repeated-hit job, and Road Roller gives the kit a heavy follow-up. The tradeoff is commitment: both valuable actions require you to be near danger, and the reported price sits beyond older late-game milestones.
Practice the role with an owned close-range ability before committing. If you frequently lose Dash on approach, get interrupted by a third player, or chase targets to the water, Diyo will amplify those problems. If you already create safe close openings and want a simple pressure-to-heavy plan, it offers a readable next step.
